Rúna Sigrlinn is a Swedish brand specializing in wristwatches that feature Viking Age runes instead of numerals on the dial.
The name Rúna Sigrlinn comes from the myth of a young woman named Rúna, the daughter of a merchant, who lived around a thousand years ago. According to legend, she discovered a kind of crystal sphere deep in the forest, within which she could see scenes from the future. Through it, she was able to foresee coming events—the size of future harvests, approaching dangers, or when to set sail and when to remain in harbor. She was called Sigrlinn—Victory Light—a light that guided her and those who followed her through the mists of time.
By uniting Viking runes with modern wristwatches, Rúna Sigrlinn takes us back to the Vikings and their world. Our watches are a quiet yet powerful reminder of Viking culture—a world whose stories, myths, and way of seeing the world still have much to teach those of us living today.
